Random Tuesday Thoughts...Movies, Ducks and Alcohol







Sorry for my absence from the blogging world as of late.  I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I just haven’t been “feeling” it.  I can barely focus and certainly haven’t been able to string any form of intelligent thought together, which could possibly pass as a post - random thoughts don't count.  Rest assured, I’m still stalking you daily and reading what you have to say.  Hopefully things will get turned around soon…

On Friday night, The Boy and I took J out for an early Father’s Day dinner and movie.  Somehow going to a movie on Friday night is a lot more fun than going to a movie on a Sunday.  I don’t know why, but it is…

The movie?  Karate Kid.  I remember the 1984 version well and I have to say that the latest release is WAY better than the original – thank God.  I was worried when J picked it and was trying to come up with excuses as to why it should really be a male bonding experience and I would be better off at home.  The Boy didn’t want to see it either, but it was J’s Father’s Day choice, so away we went – one big happy family.  Thank goodness it turned out well – even The Boy enjoyed it.  If you go see it, keep in mind, it’s not Oscar worthy, but with that said Jaden Smith did an excellent job and is bright star to watch for in the future.

On Saturday night, J and I and a couple of friends went to a “Delta Water Fowl Dinner” or as I like to call it – a fundraiser for the ducks.  The dinner was fantastic, the auction sale was entertaining.  I’m always amazed at how much money is raised when everyone has had a few hours to drink prior to the bidding commencing.  Alcohol is a catalyst to many stupid things and overspending is just another one of them.  Not by me of course - no amount of alcohol can convince me that camouflage lingerie is sexy…or worth $350.

I have been a little absent also! I just took another test for work yesterday (and passed) and was studying a lot the last week so didn't have much time. Miss you!

Wow, camo lingerie!!! I am def not against Camo as I spent most of my time in it at work, I do however wonder about the kind of guy that would find that hot... Interesting!!!

I Was Feeling Pretty Good Until...
