January Blows...

The Holidays are behind us for another year, the parties are over and the decorations have been put away. Now what?

Apart from some indoor exercise, maybe the odd movie, some reading, an afternoon nap on the weekend and perhaps some weight loss, there is nothing to look forward to in the short term. The Holidays are a bit of a let-down in that respect. So much hype and then when the excitement suddenly stops, I’m left feeling lost – like I’ve forgotten to do something.

I usually like to complain about the winter weather in January, but I can’t even do that because it hasn’t been that bad… yet. It’s been cold, but we have certainly been lacking in the snow department. I know winter will arrive and then I’ll have LOTS to keep my “bitter meter” ticking, but until then, what’s a girl to do?

I don't get up for the holidays so there is no let down.
I will complain about weather. How cold is it?
It is so cold that the devil said, "Heaven, I'm not staying here. I'm going to Florida."
@GregoryJ - Great quote! I try not to buy into the hype of the holidays every year, but sadly I do.

I couldn't have said it better myself. January is a dumper!! If it weren't for getting a day off of work on MLK day the month would be a total bust.

I say, come to TN for a visit to shake some bitterness for a while...heck, I have enough bitterness here for the both of us!!!

I wish I knew you when I made umpteen million trips to Toronto back in the 90s.

LOL "Bitter Meter" that is so funny! Well I do complain about the weather because I'm a desert rat and anything below 75F is not acceptable. I'm serious EP has 2 seasons - Christmas and Summer. That's it.

Ugh. I have tons of snow. So please, take some. I'm getting tired of it. XD In the last two days we've gotten like almost five feet I think.

Oh, well... You've always got that inspiring job of yours (just kidding!) to cheer up your January days! ;)
January leaves us looking forward to February, then the dreaded longest month of the year MARCH! YUK - well we always have blogging. Ha Ha. It is freezing here, I would take some good snow over this cold weather anytime.

Wow - consider yourself blessed! I live in Nebraska and we have had near record amounts of snow - I think over 36" so far this winter and we are expected to get 40" total in January!!! It sucks! And we are currently having -20 to -40 wind chills. Bleh. Hope you are staying warmer there then we are down here! :)
