Neglecting the Ones I Love...

I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth – yet.  I just can’t keep up and there are many things in my life that are being neglected.

This Blog – I love blogging, but I haven’t been able to come up with anything interesting or intriguing to say.  Blogger and Gmail has been completely blocked from my work computer, so this makes it extremely difficult to blog or even read blogs.  By the time evening comes along, I have a million other things to do at home and blogging hasn’t made its way up the list.  It frustrates me and I feel like I’ve failed miserably at something that I enjoy doing.   My apologies to everyone…

Exercise – What is that?  Does the hour I spend in physiotherapy for my sore neck each week count?  It’s been at least 3 weeks since I’ve worked out.  Not good…

Me –  Let’s see – I need to get back to eating healthy.  I need a haircut, a pedicure, a manicure, a facial.  I need to make an eye appointment, a dentist appointment and a doctor’s appointment.  As you can see, I’m overdue for my spring tune-up….oh, and my car needs an oil change too.

My Wardrobe – It’s May and I’m still wearing winter stuff.   I also need some new shoes, new sandals, a new purse and a new outfit for a wedding I’m going to in June.

My House – I don’t even know where to begin on this one…windows, curtains and blinds need to be washed, floors need to be scrubbed, closets need to be cleaned and that’s just the bare minimum.

My Yard – Thank goodness for J and The Boy.  They’ve done a lot of the outside spring stuff, but I still like to control certain outdoor chores - my perennial gardens need some extra attention and my deck needs to be stained.

My Business – Once again, I’m behind with everything on this – my inventory is low, my supplies are strewn about my living room, my website needs to be updated, my accounts are not up-to-date and I have orders to make and no energy to do it.

While life is overwhelming me at the moment - I’m positive, I’ll gain control again – hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Oh man that sounds exactly like me. Oil changes for both cars, pedicure, still wearing my winter wardrobe, house to clean and organize, no exercise! Yikes! At least you are not alone my dear! You will get it done I am sure. I think it is all about priorities - whatever makes you the happiest and or gives you the biggest sense of accomplishment! :)

I feel ya. I have been exhausted of late and feel that I just can't catch up! Wish I had your Boy's energy, maybe then I could catch up to the rest of the world :/

You have just put into writing what is going through my mind. At least now I know I am not alone in finding there are not enough hours in the days, or days in the weeks and that it is time to make choices over what is most important to do.

Sometimes life catches up on you!

Wow. I could have written this post myself! What I couldn't get done if I didn't have to go to work.
