Random Tuesday Thoughts
Can someone please explain to me the benefits of daylight savings time? When I head to work in the morning, it’s now brighter; however my drive home is now shrouded in darkness. Great, now I feel like I’ve worked an hour extra of overtime, without pay. *sigh*
I’m technology challenged and apparently lazy too. I can’t figure out how to change the clock in my car, so for the next 5 months, I’ll have to remember to subtract 1 hour and add 3 minutes to the time indicated. Previous to this daylight savings time thingy, I only had to remember to add the 3 minutes. One would think, I could just read the manual and figure it out, but hence the lazy part… God, I’m so confused.
Now that the colder, darker weather has arrived, I’ve lost interest in salads and exercising. This is a recipe for disaster on its own, but to top things off, my only food interests of late are based solely on the food groups of carbohydrates and gravy. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s hereditary and has something to do with some scientific unexplained genetic hibernation traits of northern dwelling land-based mammals. Keep in mind, I’m not a scientist, so who the hell actually knows what my problem is.
I’ve also lost interest in shaving my legs on a daily basis. This one – I’ll outwardly blame on my fear of purchasing razor blades from Wal-Mart, but truthfully I suspect it also has something to do with the cold, dark weather and some deep-seeded method of self-preservation in winter climates. I know! *ewww*
I’ve been thinking about taking a *ahem* “sick” day for the sake of it, but with all this talk of swine flu and H1N1, I’m worried that karma will bite me in the ass and with my luck, karma will actually have the swine flu.
As always, please stop by and visit The Un Mom for a lot more chaos and Tuesday Randomness.

This getting dark at 6:00 is going to kill my social life.
:-)
Did I mention that I like a woman who doesn't shave all the time! LOL!
Have a great RTT!

Second, I agree - I LOVE peace and quiet in the morning and that is too the reason why I love driving to work. Damn DST...
@Brian - No worries, I will shave them in time for holidays. Right now, I'd wear garlic and not shave my legs, if it keeps the swine flu away.
@f8hasit - LOL! I might have been a lazy farmer. I don't like getting up until way after the sun has come up, but I do go to bed early and right now, it feels like 6:00 should also be my bedtime.
@Sylvia - Ahhh - Spring. How many more days?
@Otin - LOL! Can you explain the allure of not shaving to my husband? Some men just aren't as understanding as you, but one can only dream...
I'll be stopping by as often as I can as I've added you to my following list.

Stop by my new blog if you like.
All the best today!
they also do it in Egypt the only reason I can see for it here is so the tourists are not confused having to get up at 6.00 to get swindled out of money.
