Finally! J has finally released "The Prom" photos and now I can share them with you. My baby boy turns 18 next month and then in a mere 2 months he's off to college. *sigh*
I had my annual “physical” yesterday. I’ve
been attending the same clinic for well over 20 years and am overall happy with
the service I receive. The clinic is
part of a state-of-the-art teaching hospital, so with that I typically have
relatively quick access to a network of specialists should the need arise. With that being said, I’m usually treated by residents
and have rarely had the same resident in all my 20 years.
I felt pretty good going into the appointment and then not
so much by the time I left. Why do you
ask?
Well, first of all I was treated by Miss Doogie
Howser. I swear she wasn’t even legal drinking
age. That in itself made me feel old,
because when I first started going to that clinic – I WAS her age.
As she was running down the standard list of questions
(i.e. do you smoke, how much do you drink, is there any history of heart
problems in your family), she ask...
I found out through the ever-so reliable grapevine this
morning that the Internet Nazis are REAL - just like zombies, mermaids and
unicorns.
True story – internet usage throughout the entire company is
being monitored by “The Man”.
What the hell am I going to do now? For those that have been reading this blog
for sometime know that my only purpose for coming to work is because of the
high-speed internet. Seriously - I don’t
actually have enough “work” in a day to keep busy. I am not what you could call a productive
member of the working society. I surf
the Internet for 7 hours out of a day – no more, no less! I feel so violated. I am totally freaking out!!!
I guess it’s back to finding creative ways to look busy at
work - like these or killing time reading e-books (obviously not ones
downloaded at work) or writing my memoirs or a screen play. Ahhh!!!

Not sure we will survive her heading to college. It's 2 miles frome the beach.
